What “fully managed” means
“Fully managed” is not marketing shorthand here — it describes exactly where the work sits. We provision a server dedicated to your organization, host it in the United States, and then take responsibility for keeping it running: monitoring, patching, updates, and US-based support are all on us. The recording bot, the transcription pipeline, and the archiving workflow are configured, watched, and maintained by our team, not yours.
Your side of the line is deliberately small. You assign the Microsoft Teams compliance recording policy to the users who fall in scope, and you own your Microsoft 365 tenant, your consent policy, and your retention decisions. Everything downstream of that policy assignment — the server, the bot joining calls, capturing audio, transcribing, and uploading to SharePoint — is handled for you. What every plan includes
Because the service is bundled rather than sold as a pile of add-ons, every plan ships with the same complete capability set. The tier you choose changes the scale, not the feature list:
- A dedicated, single-tenant server.Your recordings, transcripts, and configuration run on a server provisioned for your organization alone — never co-mingled with another customer's data.
- The recording bot with all four join methods. Compliance-policy auto-capture, manual join on demand, calendar auto-join via Exchange Online, and direct 1:1 call capture are all included out of the box.
- Unlimited recording for in-scope users. Every call your policy-scoped users make or receive is captured — there is no per-call meter to watch.
- Automatic transcription. Each recording is transcribed with Azure AI Speech-to-Text and speaker diarization, producing searchable, auditable text alongside the audio.
- SharePoint archiving to your own tenant. Recordings and transcripts upload automatically to a SharePoint library inside your Microsoft 365 tenant, under your access controls.
- Configurable retention. Retention is tuned to your regulatory obligation, whether that is a few years or a multi-year hold.
- US-based support. Provisioning, monitoring, patching, and day-to-day help are all delivered by our US-based team.
How pricing works
Compliance recording pricing has a reputation for being opaque, with quotes that hinge on per-user meters, per-minute charges, storage surprises, and separate fees for transcription or support. We do the opposite. Your cost is a single predictable monthly managed fee, and that one fee covers the entire service: the dedicated server, the recording bot, transcription, SharePoint archiving, and support.
Two straightforward inputs shape the number: the count of in-scope users you need to record, and your retention and storage needs — how long recordings must be kept and how much volume that implies. That is it. There are no hidden enterprise quote games, no charge that appears only after you sign, and no penalty for a busy month of calls.
